2. Information Stored Locally on Your Device
The only data stored by the app is your saved/bookmarked articles, stored exclusively on your device using Android local storage (AsyncStorage). This data:
- Never leaves your device
- Is never transmitted to our servers or any third party
- Can be deleted at any time from within the app (Settings > Clear Bookmarks)
- Is permanently removed when you uninstall the app
3. Internet Access and News Content
The app requires internet access solely to fetch and display news content from our server. This is a read-only operation — no user data is sent to our server. The app fetches:
- News articles, headlines, and images
- Photo galleries
- YouTube video listings
- Web stories
- Live news information
4. Third-Party Services and External Links
The app contains links that open external services. When you tap these links, you leave our app and are subject to the privacy policies of those services:
- YouTube — Videos and live streams open in the YouTube app or browser. YouTube privacy policy applies.
- Facebook — Facebook page link opens in the Facebook app or browser.
- WhatsApp — WhatsApp channel link opens in WhatsApp.
- News Articles (WebView) — Full articles open in an in-app browser loading pahadikhabarnama.in.
We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third-party services.
5. Permissions Used
The app requests only the following Android permissions:
- INTERNET — Required to fetch news content from our server.
- VIBRATE — Used for standard UI feedback.
The following permissions are explicitly NOT used: RECORD_AUDIO, MODIFY_AUDIO_SETTINGS, READ/WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, ACCESS_LOCATION, CAMERA, or READ_CONTACTS.
6. Children’s Privacy
Pahadi Khabarnama is a general news application suitable for all ages. Since we do not collect any personal information from any user, there is no risk of collecting data from children.
7. Data Security
Since we do not collect or transmit any personal data, there is no personal data at risk on our servers. Bookmarked articles stored on your device are protected by your device’s own security mechanisms.
